Shoulder & Elbow Surgery and Sports Medicine

Dr. Baessler is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, specializing in the treatment of sports injuries of the shoulder, elbow, knee, hand and wrist, and degenerative conditions of the shoulder and elbow. His surgical expertise includes complex shoulder and elbow trauma, total shoulder and reverse total shoulder replacements, fracture care and arthroscopy, including tendon and ligament repair and reconstruction and surgery for instability.

Dr. Baessler earned his Doctorate in Medicine at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University, and then completed residency in orthopedic surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. After residency, he chose to further his training in orthopedics and underwent a sports medicine and shoulder fellowship at University of Tennessee, Campbell Clinic. He joined Central Indiana Orthopedics in 2023.
