As a primary care sports medicine physician, Dr. Carter specializes in fracture care/broken bones, sports injuries, work-related injuries, ligament and tendon tears and sprains, strains and pulled muscles. Dr. Carter earned his Doctorate in Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana and completed his residency in family medicine at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis. He also finished a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Via Christi Health in Wichita, Kansas. Dr. Carter has experience caring for several athletic teams and previously served as the team physician for Taylor University. Board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, he has been practicing at Central Indiana Orthopedics since 2013.
