Each holiday season, Central Indiana Orthopedics enjoys partnering with local non-profit organizations to help spread holiday cheer to those in need and to provide support to the communities in which we live and serve. In the past, we’ve proudly supported organizations such as Cops for Kids, Toys for Tots, The Salvation Army, Youth Opportunity Center, Second Harvest Food Bank and more.
This season, Central Indiana Orthopedics was inspired to partner with Secret Families Christmas Charity, which sponsors families in need of support around the holiday season. The families are identified exclusively through local school principles throughout Delaware and Madison counties. Each family is provided a fully decorated Christmas tree, gifts for the entire family, $50 Meijer gift card to purchase a Christmas dinner, and a Bible.

Our goal was to provide support to at least four families. We decided to raise money by allowing our employees to wear jeans on designated days (we selected four days) for $5 per day. Next, we had a lunch fundraiser! Management Team provided a variety of soups (and some sandwiches, too!) for lunch, and employees could eat for $5. We were able to raise more than $530, just from the lunch fundraiser!
CIO physicians wanted to motivate employees to give, but also provide support in a big way, so they agreed to match total funds raised by employees! With all efforts, we are proud to announce that we were able to provide a total of $5272 to Secret Families Christmas Charity – which sponsors more than 9 families!
To continue our involvement with the organization, several CIO employees participated in Secret Families “big day” this past Saturday, December 7th. Employees had the opportunity to shop for the families, wrap gifts, and help with deliveries. Below are a few pictures of our fun morning!
