Congratulations Dr. Bennett on a Well-Deserved Retirement

After over 29 years of practicing Orthopedics, 19 of those years as a physician at Central Indiana Orthopedics, Dr. Kerry Bennett has announced his retirement, effective February 2022. While we are sad to lose him as a colleague, inspiring leader and caring physician, we celebrate his legacy and are thrilled that he is going to start the next chapter of his life.

After practicing for 10 years as an orthopedic surgeon in Ohio, Dr. Bennett began practicing at CIO Muncie in 2002 specializing in hip and knee disorders including hip and knee joint replacement and knee arthroscopy. Over the years, he developed a special interest in regenerative medicine and the use of adipose stem cells as an alternative non-surgical treatment for patients with joint pain.

Throughout his career, education was another interest of Dr. Bennett’s, and he held many positions over the years as a mentor and teacher of medicine, including Clinical Assistant Professor at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Wright State University Department of Emergency Medicine, Volunteer Clinical Faculty at IU School of Medicine and Orthopedic Preceptor at IU Ball Hospital Family Practice Residency. He was awarded Specialty Teacher of the Year by IU Ball Hospital Family Practice Residency in 2004.

Dr. Bennett has had a lasting impact on this community, and we know the patients who have benefited from his care join us in thanking him for his expertise and legendary outstanding bedside manner! His personality is one-of-a-kind, and we will miss him dearly!

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Bennett on his well-deserved retirement. His dedication and commitment to patients are the very embodiment of all our physicians. Enjoy retirement, Dr. Bennett! Congratulations from all of us at Central Indiana Orthopedics.
