COVID-19 Update from Central Indiana Orthopedics

At Central Indiana Orthopedics, we are committed to the health of our patients, employees and community.

We appreciate everyone’s concern during this health crisis. While this pandemic has brought anxiety and disruption to everyone’s lives, we are confident that we will overcome this crisis.

As an organization, we are currently monitoring updates and recommendations from the CDC and State Department of Health. Our immediate concern is minimizing the risk of infection to patients and employees. Therefore we are following the recommendation of the State Board of Health to postpone all non-urgent surgeries until at least March 30th, at which time we will re-evaluate.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause, but we believe this is the best course of action to keep everyone safe.

All patients affected by this change will receive phone communication from our staff. We can’t anticipate the duration of the crisis; therefore, surgeries will not be rescheduled until further information is available.

Our clinic, including our walk-in clinic and MRI, remains open. However, if you are showing any symptoms for flu, respiratory illnesses or symptoms of COVID-19, please reschedule your appointment. There will be a screening process upon arrival where a member of our team will check your temperature and ask you a few questions.

CIO’s dedicated team of professionals is available to assist you. Please call 800-622-6575 if you have any questions or concerns.

The safety and health of our patients is my top priority. We will continue to provide updates as quickly as possible.

Wishing you the best of health,

P. Jamieson Kay, MD
President, Central Indiana Orthopedics
