Here For You During the Pandemic: New Patient Appointment Options at Central Indiana Orthopedics

While many of us are encouraged to shelter in place, we understand accidents still happen and pain often doesn’t go away on its own. Beginning this week, we have opened appointment time for new patient visits in all CIO offices, as well as scheduling MRIs, EMGs and arthrograms.

Following social distancing recommendations, we are limiting the number of in-office appointments per hour and per provider. For everyone’s safety, any employee with direct patient contact is required to wear a mask. Additionally, all patients will be required to wear a mask or face covering to their appointment, or their appointment will be rescheduled. Our ultimate goal for when a patient checks in at the front desk is to take them directly to an exam room and bypass the waiting room, if possible.

As always, making sure our offices are clean and disinfected is still top priority. We will continue screening each patient and visitor with a list of questions and taking temperatures at the entry point of our buildings. For the safety of yourself and others, we ask all patients attend appointments alone. If the patient is a minor, disabled or requires assistance, the patient may bring one visitor to the appointment.

Telehealth visits will continue to be utilized to treat both new and follow up patients, and our Walk-In Clinics will remain open all day to treat patients with urgent needs.
