We are pleased to announce that Dr. Joseph Duncan and Dr. Stanton Wilhite are expanding their practices to Central Indiana Orthopedics Fishers and are now scheduling patients at this location. Both physicians will continue to see patients at their existing CIO offices while offering expanded access to care for patients in the Fishers community.
Dr. Duncan is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon who has been practicing at CIO since 2007. He specializes in treating conditions of the back, neck and spine, including disc herniations and spinal stenosis. After earning his Doctor of Medicine degree at Indiana University School of Medicine, he completed his residency training at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio, followed by fellowship training in spine surgery at Charlotte Orthopaedic Spine in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Dr. Duncan believes in using an honest and straightforward approach to patient care and only recommends surgical treatment when all nonsurgical options have been exhausted. He is dedicated to utilizing the most advanced treatments, including minimally invasive neck and spine procedures, to help patients stay active and accelerate recovery.
“I’m excited to expand my clinic to Fishers and continue improving access to spine care for our patients,” said Dr. Duncan. “My goal is to provide straightforward guidance and help patients understand their condition so we can determine the best path forward together.”
Dr. Wilhite is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ABFAS). He has been practicing at Central Indiana Orthopedics since 2022 and specializes in the treatment of bunions, forefoot deformities, sports injuries, Achilles tendon injuries, ankle instability, reconstructive conditions, fractures and wound care. His clinical interests include fracture management and conservative care of foot and ankle deformities for patients across central Indiana.
Dr. Wilhite earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois, and completed his reconstructive foot and ankle surgery residency at the Detroit Medical Center. He is committed to providing clear communication, individualized treatment plans and ensuring patients fully understand their options. His goal is not only to reduce pain, but to help patients return confidently to the activities and lifestyle they enjoy most.
